Spiritual Emphasis Programmes

At the beginning of each academic term, we are blessed with the privilege of participating in a Week of Spiritual Emphasis, a time set aside for reflection and spiritual renewal. In 2024, we were profoundly enriched by the wisdom and guidance of three remarkable speakers.

During the First Term, Pastor Tatenda Machamire graced us with a powerful series on the theme of faith. On the final day, he delivered a stirring sermon titled Who I Am, in which he explored the profound nature of our identity in Christ. With deep insight, he highlighted the importance of the Seventh-day Adventist Fundamental Beliefs, showing how these foundational truths are rooted in the unchanging Word of God. Additionally, we had the privilege of hearing from Mr. Michael Dunbar, (pictured above) former President of Fountain View Academy, who shared thought-provoking perspectives on the Philosophy of Adventist Education.

In the Second Term, Mr. Matanhure, a distinguished clinical psychologist, led an engaging discussion on the critical practice of self-regulation and the importance of preserving our mental and emotional well-being in an age overwhelmed by information technology.

The Third Term brought us Pastor Irvine Gwatiringa, Youth Ministries Director for the Southern-Indian Ocean Division, who captivated us with a message on the vital role of both intrapersonal and interpersonal communication in our spiritual journey. He encouraged us to deepen our connections with ourselves and others, fostering growth in faith and spiritual maturity.

Each speaker, in their unique way, has left an indelible mark on our hearts, and we are deeply grateful for the spiritual nourishment we received throughout the year.
