About Reghardt
Our Story
In January 2023, Reghardt Learning Centre (RLC)—a Christian co-educational institution offering a college preparatory education—was established on a six-acre piece of land, in the Philadelphia suburb of Harare, Zimbabwe. Reghardt is a self-supporting school whose practices are based on the Adventist Philosophy of Education. The school started off with a total of twelve students, eight teachers and two ancillary staff. The first cohort completed its Cambridge examinations successfully the same year.
What started off as a cosy home was transformed into a modern learning space with renovations that increased the number of learning base spaces from 7 to 16 within the first year. The grounds received a major facelift extending the learning spaces and experiences beyond walls.
Reghardt has migrated from the traditional teacher centred method of instruction to the Concept-based Inquiry Learning approach that seeks to develop the student into a self-directed learner. Student learning is supported through the world’s highly rated Canvas Learning Management System. This enables us to involve all our key stakeholders in the educational journey of each child.
